Things I’ve been doing
Job done!
That’s it! 35 cartoons completed for the songbook project concluding with this one I drew today. I am quite fond of this, it has been an enjoyable creative experience and my client is happy so everyone’s a winner. Can’t wait to see it in print.
Red Kong Dong Coffee launched!
Vicky’s brother Will and his mate James have launched their own coffee, and they asked me to draw something to use as the packaging branding. Here it is shown on a mock up coffee bag…I haven’t seen a real one yet to know how close this is. I’m looking forward to tasting the coffee!
You can check them out at www.dbroscoffee.com.
Hungarian Yellow Monkey
Yellow Monkey Emperor’s Classic of Chinese Medicine wot Damo and I wrote was published in 2016. In 2019 a Hungarian version followed courtesy of the good folks at lunarimpex. I finally got my hands on a copy thanks to my good friend Adam whilst in Sweden recently, and even better, Damo and I posed for a cheesy photo with it during a meal out with our partners Vicky and Roni.
Procurement and Supply Chain strategy and cartoon maps
My colleague Katie Deem has written an article on LinkedIn about strategy during a crisis for procurement and supply chain professionals. I illustrated it, and you can read the post on either of our LinkedIn pages.
Proud book dad
If you follow me on LinkedIn then you will be fed up hearing about this book. If you don’t follow me there then I have exciting news!
Our book was published last week and I got my copy whilst in the office yesterday. I was part of the cover design team, wrote one of the chapters and drew all the cartoons inside. If you are in the public sector then you need this book. Did I mention it has cartoons in it?
You can buy it on Amazon.
iPads make art in Royal Tunbridge Wells
I was chuffed to be invited back to the Royal Tunbridge Wells Art Society today to talk about producing art on iPads. I had a great afternoon sharing my passion for digital art with a very engaging group of artists.
Thanks for the tea and biscuits and I look forward to returning again.
Latest project
Cartoons, but it’s work!
The Public Procurement Regulations are changing next year, and two of my colleagues in 4C (my grown up job) wrote a superb article about it and we posted it on LinkedIn.
It gave me an excuse to get my crayons out.
